Low-Complexity Non-Binary Forward Error Correction for Lattice-Based 4D Constellations

Abstract

Low-complexity non-binary LDPC decoding is studied for a 512-ary lattice-based 4D Welti constellation. In an 800ZR scenario, more than 1 dB SNR gain is obtained over DP-16QAM and binary FEC at fixed symbol rate.
