Abstract

We propose channel-polarized multistage codes (CP-MSC) using multiple SD-FEC codes with different overheads. 0.08-dB net coding gain improvement is obtained by 21% total-overhead CP-MSC over conventional low-complexity SD-FEC code at the same overhead and complexity.
