Monolithic Silicon Photonic Few-mode Waveguide with Satellite Structures for Athermal Spectral Filtering

Abstract

We propose a fully CMOS-compatible few-mode waveguide with “satellite” structures that exhibits thermally anomalous modal phase difference, and demonstrate the condition for athermal operation of spectral filtering from 20 to 50 ℃.
