Record Low Loss Optical Fiber with 0.1397 dB/km

Abstract

We have achieved low loss record of 0.1397 dB/km at 1566 nm wavelength and 0.1406 dB/km at 1550 nm on a Ge-free silica-core fiber that has been achieved by the further reduction of fictive temperature.
