Renewable-Energy-Aware Data Center Placement in Optical Cloud Networks

Abstract

We solve the problem of datacenter placement in optical cloud networks with the aim of jointly minimizing the non-renewable datacenter energy consumption and the number of DCs. Lexicographic optimization is utilized to balance the two objectives.
