A comparison study of joint and sequential multi-layer planning for IP over flexible optical networks

Abstract

We propose a joint multi-layer planning algorithm for IP over flexible optical networks, and use it, to compare the performance of joint as opposed to sequential multi-layer network planning in terms of spectrum and cost.
