Abstract
The photophysical properties of Photofrin II (supplied by Oncology Research and Development, Cheektowaga, New York), are investigated in water, tetrahydrofuran, and methanol solutions. This substance, which contains the most aggregated components of hematoporphyrin derivative, was reported to be the main one responsible for the in vivo photosensitization of tumor tissues.1
