Nonlinear Transmission Performance under Different Wavelength-mode Allocation Schemes for Weakly-coupled MDM-WDM Transmission

Abstract

Based on the theoretical investigation of the nonlinear effects in the weakly-coupled MDM-WDM transmission system, we show by simulation that optimizing wavelength-mode allocation schemes can significantly mitigate nonlinear transmission impairments.
