Ultra-Wideband Mode Selective Couplers for Weakly-Coupled WDM-MDM Transmission

Abstract

Ultra-wideband mode selective couplers satisfying strict phase-matching conditions across S+C+L bands for mode multiplexing/demultiplexing of a 4-LP-mode FMF are designed and fabricated with side-polishing processing, based on which weakly-coupled FMF transmission is experimentally demonstrated.
