Miniaturization of imaging systems for in-field medical and biological applications is a critical issue, recruiting increasing attention. The authors demonstrate the potential of microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) technology by reporting on an interesting application of MEMS to the miniaturization of a two-photon microscope.
