Distributed feedback ring resonators for vertically emitting terahertz quantum cascade lasers
Interesting results and a very promising performance are demonstrated for a distributed feedback terahertz quantum cascade laser operating in a double-metal ring waveguide. The authors relate the device’s ability to achieve high-power collimated emission; describe its theoretical description, implementation, and characterization; and provide clear and convincing data analysis.
