Abstract

We correct Fig. 1 of Optica 3, 1320 (2016), which characterizes the performances of our ptychographic-based frequency resolved optical gating (FROG) algorithm as a function of SNR, and we compare it with a commonly used GP-based reconstruction FROG algorithm: principal component generalized projections algorithm (PCGPA).

Fig. 1.

(a) Mean angle (representing the error) between reconstructed and true signals as a function of SNR for the ptychographic-based algorithm (solid blue curve) and the PCGPA method (dashed red curve). Error bars represent the standard deviation of the average over all successful reconstructions from the bank of 100 pulses. (b) The number of failed reconstructions of the ptychographic-based algorithm (solid blue curve) and the PCGPA algorithm (dashed red curve) over 100 pulses. (c)–(e) A true pulse (solid blue curves) reconstructed by the ptychographic-based algorithm (dashed red curves) and by the PCGPA method (dotted black curves) for SNR = 8    dB , 20 dB, and 40 dB, respectively.
