Abstract
Terahertz waves are sharpening our view of the world. Although still in the early stages of their development, terahertz technologies hold great promise for many imaging applications, including security checks of people, mail or luggage, quality control of pharmaceutical or polymeric goods, clinical diagnostics-and even the detection of contamination in chocolate products. In addition, "indoor" wireless communication with THz waves is expected to be a mass market by 2020.
