Spatial arrays generated by two signal waves and one pump wave

Abstract

Two signal waves combine with a pump wave to form two-dimensional gratings in a nonlinear medium by means of |E|2n terms in the electric polarization. |E|4 terms can be used to add and subtract the phases of the two signal waves.
