Abstract
I comment on the recent Letter by Klimczak et al. [Opt. Lett. 38, 4679 (2013)], in which supercontinuum was generated in a tellurite glass photonic crystal fiber. However, my results show that in the midinfrared 3–6 μm region, the losses of their tellurite glass should be 1–2 orders of magnitude higher than what the authors claimed.
