Abstract

Some points were raised in a comment by Gutiérrez-Vega and Bandres [Opt. Lett. 31, 2468 (2006) ] in response to our original publication [ Wu and Liu Opt. Lett. 31, 1720 (2006) ]. We have reviewed these and found that they had not understood the resonant modes of a rectangular resonator in the Letter.
