Intensification of a photorefractive response by an external ac field in the ferroelectric crystal Ba2NaNb5O15

Abstract

Static photorefractive gratings are recorded by a running interference pattern in the ferroelectric crystal Ba2NaNb5O15 with an externally applied ac field. Both two- and four-wave mixing based on this recording mechanism are investigated.
