Abstract

We demonstrate a new technique for imaging an object obscured by a scattering medium. A class of nonlinear optical field cross-correlation processes is discussed and shown to be capable of reproducing an image of the hidden object. The spatial resolution can be easily controlled by adjustment of the laser bandwidth. The process of coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering was employed in this research to produce an image of a wire hidden behind a suspension of nondairy creamer.
