Abstract

The dysprosium spectrum is studied in the range of 273–284 nm by using pulsed-laser excitation in an atomic beam and fluorescence detection. Lifetimes and branching ratios for the decay to the ground term are determined from the analysis of fluorescence signals for 27 high-lying odd-parity levels.
