This paper describes a handheld laser scanning confocal microscope for skin microscopy. Cross sectioning capability of 100x objective is shown via stepped axial focusing, with focus increment of 7 um. [See C. L. Arrasmith, D. L. Dickensheets, and A. Mahadevan-Jansen Fig. 9(a) for details.]
