Abstract

We correct errors in two equations of our original manuscript.

Equations (3) and (5) of our original manuscript [1] contain errors in the power of the (g 1g 3) image difference term, used to calculate the sectioned image. The corrected equation for the standard (non-quantitative) sectioned image algorithm is

istd(x,y)=(g1g2)2+(g1g3)2+(g2g3)2,
and for the quantitative version
i(x,y)=223m(g1g2)2+(g1g3)2+(g2g3)2.
The corrections have no effect on the remainder of the manuscript.
