Abstract

A set of lightened blanks of silicon carbide mirrors, with diameters of 230, 486, and 1000 mm, was fabricated using the advanced technology of the S. I. Vavilov State Optical Institute. The implemented process yielded a homogeneous structure of the material forming the body of the blank. The main characteristics of the products thus obtained are presented.
