Abstract

This paper provides a basis for choosing the layout of an optical system that forms the image of an object with unity magnification. The conditions are determined for planastigmatically correcting the aberrations of the image formed by an optical system composed of two concentric reflective surfaces with three reflections from them. It is shown that the same problem can be solved by supplementing the system of reflective surfaces with a concentric meniscus located in the incident and reflected pencils of rays or in only one of them. A method is considered for parametrically synthesizing such systems.
