Abstract

This paper compares the accuracy of the time–frequency distributions and their resolving power in the frequency–time plane of frequency-modulated radio signals when they are obtained by means of an acousto-optic spectrum analyzer and a pseudo-Wigner processor. Signals with linear frequency modulation and signals in which the frequency depends on time to a power greater than the first are considered. The results of numerical modeling are presented.
