Abstract

This paper discusses various issues related to the development of a uniform-contrast color space that transforms ellipses (in 2D space) or ellipsoids (in 3D space) into circles or spheres, respectively. It is important to have a uniform-contrast color system in which the geometrical distance between colors on a chromaticity diagram is independent of the colors (chromaticities) being compared.
