Abstract
This paper presents a goniophotometric apparatus intended for obtaining the angular energy and polarization reflective responses of structural materials at laser wavelengths. Its technical characteristics make it possible to measure the brightness factors of materials in a wide range of values with fairly high accuracy. The results of measuring the angular distributions of the brightness factors and backscattering patterns of typical coatings are presented. Simple parameters of the reflective properties of materials are proposed that can be measured by means of the goniophotometer and that can be used to construct mathematical models of the reflection as applied to obtaining the brightness images of objects.
