Abstract

This article is devoted to the question of stabilizing the radiation frequency of Fabry–Perot laser diodes that generate radiation with wavelengths in the spectral range 635–655 nm, using the Doppler broadening of the absorption lines of iodine I1272. A system for stabilizing the frequency has been developed and implemented, consisting of an external system for automatically tuning the lasing frequency with the introduction of a probe signal. Questions are considered of recording the iodine lines that fall into the region of existence of the single-frequency regime and the discrimination response of the automatic adjustment system.
