Abstract
This article discusses the main disadvantages of null detectors currently used in dynamic goniometry. A hypothesis is suggested concerning how the deviation of the reflective face from a plane affects the results of angular measurements. A modified layout is proposed for a null detector based on an autocollimator that uses a differential measurement method.
