Abstract

This paper presents a general-purpose device that makes it possible under laboratory and shop conditions to check the main characteristics of array-type television systems by creating various irradiance levels in the plane of a test object. A description is given of the construction principle of a backlighting simulator, intended for monitoring systems under light overload. The possibility that test objects with various pictures can be used in the device allows the detection and recognition characteristics of array-type television systems to be evaluated.
