Optimal parameters of a shearing interferometer with a singular light source

Abstract

The optimum parameters are determined for a shearing interferometer with a singular light source to give the best visibility on the interferograms of the regions where the fringes of equal thickness split, the position of which makes it possible to determine the lateral shear of the beams and the characteristics of the beamsplitter element.
