Abstract

This paper presents the spectral characteristics of long-period fiber gratings with a quartz-fiber core and a cladding in the form of a polymer helix. It is shown that this type of fiber grating possesses resonance properties in the spectral interval 1530-1560nm. The influence of temperature on the spectral shift of the resonance bands is investigated.
