Abstract

Algorithms have been developed for estimating the spatial position of pulse noise with a Gaussian distribution centered and truncated at zero of the brightness on images. The optimality criteria of the algorithms are the unconditional pass probability for a fixed unconditional false-alarm probability and vice versa. Results are presented of numerical studies of the algorithms, which show higher quality by comparison with procedures known earlier.
