Abstract

Based on the use of Green's tensor theorem, the vector electromagnetic field is analyzed in the observation zone of a laser displacement meter when the zone is irradiated by a wave with a curvilinear phase front. It is shown that in this case a single device can measure the linear and angular displacements of the reflector and the rotations of the plane of polarization of the radiation, as well as the coordinates of the radiator in space.
