Abstract
This paper presents approximate analytic expressions that make it possible to predict the behavior of the correlation characteristics (correlation coefficients and linear-regression coefficients) of radiance in the IR and visible regions as a function of the optophysical parameters of the observed objects, the heat-exchange conditions, and the spectral intervals of the picture-taking apparatus. The results of model calculations show that the correlation coupling of the radiance in the indicated ranges has a fundamentally different character in technogenic three-dimensional objects and flat segments of the landscape.
