Abstract

A reflective version of nonlinear polarization spectroscopy is analyzed in the most general form on the basis of a coordinate-free operator approach. A calculational algorithm is developed, and analytical expressions are obtained for the recorded signal in the case of arbitrary polarization of the pump excitation.
