Abstract

This paper presents experimental results for optical recording in lithium niobate crystals with various impurities and concentrations. The image of a light strip is most clearly recorded when it is oriented perpendicular to the crystal’s polar axis. It is assumed that the image is recorded by an irradiance gradient directed along the crystal’s polar axis.
