Abstract

This paper discusses the association processes of various types of dye molecules (methylene blue and eosin) introduced into a matrix of porous silicate glass with various pore sizes. The degree of association and the angle between the monomeric molecules in dimers of the dyes adsorbed in porous glass are determined from an analysis of the absorption spectra. It is shown that there are inhomogeneities in the distribution of complex dye molecules in a porous glass matrix that cause high efficiency of the association processes.
