Method of measuring the modulation transfer function of nonscanning thermal viewers

Abstract

A simple indirect method of estimating the modulation transfer function of a nonscanning thermal viewer by measuring its angular resolution width is described. It is shown that this method is applicable to a fairly wide range of device parameters.
