Abstract

This paper discusses the formation of screw-singular laser beams by means of phase diffraction optical elements (DOEs). The effects of various perturbations (tilt of the DOE, noncoaxiality of the system) on the properties of shaped laser beams containing screw singularities are studied numerically and experimentally.
