Abstract

This paper presents comprehensive studies of the spectroluminescence and laser properties of high-concentration phosphate glasses with various concentrations of ytterbium and erbium for microlasers. The limiting concentrations of erbium for which gain is observed are established, and the influence of the pump power on the gain is investigated.
