Abstract

The methods of derivatography, IR spectroscopy, x-ray diffraction, and electron microscopy are used to study the surface structure of ZnS nanoparticles stabilized by organic shells. The nature of the bonding of the shell to the surface of the nanoparticle is determined, and assumptions are made concerning the possible composition of the organic shells.
