Abstract

Based on the phenomenon of co-luminescence, processes of the formation of nanocrystals of Ln chelates in aqueous solutions of a number of β-diketones and phenanthroline are studied: Regularities are established for the formation of homonuclear and heteronuclear nanostructures, depending on the choice of ligand, the structure-forming ions, and the order in which the ions are introduced into the solutions; the possibility of estimating the averaged sizes of different forms of nanocrystals is discussed. Parameters are found that determine the energy-transport efficiency between different Ln chelates under conditions under which nanostructures are formed that can be used for immunofluorescent analysis with several lanthanide markers, as well as when developing high-sensitivity methods of monitoring and separating Ln(III) ions.
