Abstract

This paper discusses and analyzes questions of the practical application of terahertz (THz) radiation formed by femtosecond light pulses in THz ranging and tomography, as well as in developing the foundations of the new and promising research specialization of THz holography. Analysis shows that, to increase the power of THz radiation, it is necessary to place a semiconductor in external crossed magnetic and electric fields, as well as to increase the energy density of the exciting femtosecond pulse.
