Abstract

This article presents the results of a calculation of the efficiency of the radiometer of the Space Solar Patrol for monitoring the variation of the solar radiation flux in the soft x-ray and extreme UV regions, taking into account filter-films made from In, Ti, Sn, and Al/Mg/Al. In this case, a titanium film 200 nm thick and a combined Al/Mg/Al filter are introduced for the first time into the composition of the radiometer filters. The differences of three libraries of transmittance cross sections published by different organizations are discussed, and a basis is given for choosing one of these libraries. © 2005 Optical Society of America
