Abstract
A method is proposed for finding the heterodiffusion coefficients in organic molecular crystals by means of Raman scattering with local illumination of the surface of the sample. The diffusion coefficients are found for paradichlorobenzene in parabromochlorobenzene for three crystallographic directions [D^[100]=(4.25±0.15)×10-¹² cm²/sec, D^[010]=(3.10±0.15)×10-¹² cm²/sec, and D^[001]=(2.15±0.15)×10-¹² cm²/sec]. These values of the diffusion coefficients agree with the results found by other methods for similar crystals. © 2005 Optical Society of America
