This paper shows how the linear magnification of an adapter in the video channel of a microscope affects the manifestation of spurious structures - moiré and image discreteness. Examples are given of video images in the presence and absence of spurious structures, and recommendations are given concerning the choice of the magnification of the adapter (taking into account the possibility of affecting the size of the television raster electronically) and prefiltering of the image.
