Abstract

Calculational and experimental modelling of membrane-type high-temperature superconducting bolometers in a regime with active negative electrothermal feedback has been carried out. The effect of feedback on the sensitivity, detectivity, time constant, and noise parameters of the bolometers is investigated. A model is proposed that describes the behavior of the noise voltage and the sensitivity of the bolometer as a function of the frequency, bias current, and feedback coefficient.
