Abstract

This paper discusses data published earlier on full-scale measurements made in this country of the spatial and temporal inhomogeneities of various types of clouds-their geometrical sizes and lifetimes. By statistically processing the available uncoordinated data, it is shown that the general probability distribution law of the geometrical sizes and lifetimes of each of the four types of clouds is log-normal, while the total distribution density for all four types of clouds has a tetramodal character.
