Abstract

Formulas are obtained for designing Richey–Chrétien orthoscopic systems with a compensator in the region of third-order aberrations. Results are presented for the design of several optical systems in the region of third-order aberrations, which are starting systems for further optimization by means of the well-known capo, opal, and zemax programs.
