Abstract

This article describes the construction and design principles of the optical system of the wide-angle collimator system for the ShKS-5 aviation display, fabricated at LOMO, and presents a brief exposition of its structure. The system provides a picture of the surroundings and a collimated image of symbolic information, simultaneously observed on the projection screen of a CRT, extending 30° in the horizontal direction and 20° in the vertical direction.
